The Matsya Sagar restaurant has kept their cooking gas cylinder on the canopy (chhajja) of the office block inside the Sapana Gardens housing complex on Chogm road in Porvorim with blatant disregard to safety and violation to norms.
As per rules, nothing should be loaded on the canopy, as it is not a load-bearing construction.
The very placement of a gas cylinder outside in this careless manner poses danger to residents living in the society, besides it is blatant violation of safety norms.
I request the fire department, HP Gas agency and Socorro Panchayat to look into this serious matter immediately.
I have also highlighted this issue at the annual general meeting of the society a month ago.
