The Sao Mathias Village Panchayat does not have a Secretary and Talathi for the last three months. The Panchayat Secretary was promoted and sent to Tiswadi Block Development Office (BDO), Panjim while, the Talathi is on four months leave and no replacement has been sent.
When this matter was brought to the notice of the Tiswadi BDO and the Director of Panchayat regarding the Secretary, they started blaming each other.

The Director of Panchayat said that the BDO is not posting anyone and the BDO said that the Director of Panchayat is not issuing the order of posting. Also, regarding the Talathi, the Tiswadi Mamlatdar said that North Goa Collector has not issued the order while the Collector said that the Tiswadi Mamlatdar has not yet issued order after instructions.
