The people living in the coastal belt of North Goa are faced with sleepless nights due to deafening music played in Anjuna, Vagator and Morjim. The Government, Goa Pollution Control Board and the Anjuna police prefer to hear no evil to the blaring music played by nightclub owners and hoteliers.
While the tourists enjoy the music and party, senior citizens, sick, children and locals suffer in silence. Students even have to struggle with their studies.
It’s high time the public knocked at the doors of the High Court against the Goa Police who have failed to uphold the Court order of monitoring the noise pollution in these areas in letter and spirit.
Police Officers on duty who fail to uphold the law should be sent home too.
