Although electrical poles in different locations have been provided with street-light fixtures, we still come across poles which exist without such fixtures. As a result, pedestrians and travellers face great inconvenience and trouble while proceeding along such locations during the night.
The Electricity Department should carry out a survey of electrical poles existing without fixture and arrange installation of the same in the interest of innocent citizens. Seen in the picture is one such instance near Hotel Aditi at Shantinagar in Ponda. This pole has remained neglected for quite long. Let us hope that the much needed fixture would be provided at once without any further delay.
