They had been a major accident on the intersection at Fatorda near the Nehru Stadium, opposite Castella Plaza building involving an Innova vehicle and an electric lamp post. This electric pole is a high powered pole which provides electricity to a number of buildings in the stadium vicinity. The accident took place nearly three days back. The usual panchnama took place and every one left the accident scene as it is.
The matter of concern is that the pole’s concrete structure is now completely broken and the pole is now resting only on its iron rods. (As evident by the pictures attached).
In case this pole comes down this will not only create a blackout in the complete Fatorda area but there will also be a major loss of life due to the live wires falling to the ground. As this is a busy area human tragedy can be immense.
