It has been brought to the notice of the Village Panchayat of Chandor-Cavorim on several occasions that the signboards in the village with the names of different wards, road directions, etc have been washed out and cannot be read or even seen.
In the month of August 2019, when asked the panchayat office our elected members along with the sarpanch had informed that the contract is already given to the person to carry the work but till today after more than one year passed, no sign of replacing them with new one.

The signboard which says “Chandor-Cavorim Village Panchayat Office Welcomes You” (Bindimoll side) is in a bad state and need to be replaced as well. Even the mirrors given to the panchayat office by GBE Group have not been installed as yet at sites of sharp turns so that oncoming traffic can be viewed and accidents may be avoided.
This clearly shows how serious the elected members of the village panchayat are working in the interest of the public. Every time they give different excuses and the work remain pending, where their term of five year’s gets over. Please unite as one team and work for the love of the village.
Today, there are so many political parties who want to rule Chandrapur but not a single party working in the interest of public who bring them in power to do their work. Requesting our local MLA Clafasio Dias who joined the BJP in the name of development for the people of Cuncolim to support the village panchayat to complete the pending works of the signboards in the village and remove all the corroded, unwanted and bent ones as soon as possible.
Also requesting the Village Panchayat of Chandor-Cavorim to take up the works in the interest of the public and stop giving empty promises. Use the elected representatives to do our work and not the work which will not benefit the villagers.
