Through my Citizen Herald Letter titled ‘Isn’t this negligence?’ (Herald dated 18 July), I had pointed out the negligence by the Water Resources Department towards a burst of a potable water pipeline in one of the areas which is very close to its own PWD control room.
On the same day of the publication of this letter, the Water Resources Dept commenced the repair work of the damaged pipeline.
I am very grateful for the interest shown by your newspaper towards social responsibility. The effort has finally paid off.
