PHC in Cansaulim: The Public Health Centre in Cansaulim was raised to the ground as per the orders of Minister Alina Saldanha. For over a year now no work has been undertaken to build a new health care in the premises. Meanwhile the villagers have been forced to rely on a temporary health centre operating from a house which functions only during the day time.
Road widening works: The road widening work from Cansaulim market to Verna highway is incomplete in spite of several assurances by Alina that the work would be completed. The quality of the work undertaken in the areas completed is also very shoddy and pathetic.
Grounded Pontoon: The honorable minister was the first to state that action needs to be taken against the owners of the grounded pontoon at Arossim beach and against the starred hotel which was responsible for organising the wedding function onboard the stranded pontoon. However, till today the honorable minister has not initiated any action against the concerned parties.
Market Complex: The fisher folk of Cansaulim have no proper designated area to sit and sell their fish. There is absolutely no interest taken by the honorable minister and her team to ensure that proper facilities are given for all the vendors to sell their wares.
Incomplete Kala Bhavan at Sancoale: The incomplete structure at Sancoale is now becoming an eye sore in the village and is now being used for nefarious activities. A huge amount of tax payers’ money has been spent on erecting this structure, but unfortunately the finishing touches have not been carried out leaving the structure unused. This is a total waste of public money.
There is no proper garbage collection and the village always faces irregular electric supply.
Our village needs immediate attention from some responsible people in the government to rid Cansaulim of its above mentioned woes!
