City businessmen suffer fall in revenue as Smart city works go on without deadlines or fixing responsibilities

City businesses have taken a severe beating due to a drastic fall in revenue, as the Smart City works continue without any deadlines or fixing of responsibilities. The city’s prominent businessmen called on the Chief Minister to take charge as the Corporation of the city of Panjim and the Panjim MLA, he observed washed their hands off. It is impossible to approach shops. Some businesses have closed. Just because the people don’t want to talk about it does not mean they are happy, he said. 

Businessmen support Smart City works. But the manner in which they are being carried out is disturbing, City Businessman Manoj Caculo said. There has been a loss of business. There are not deadlines.
