CM refutes criticism over close door public meet

MARGAO: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday refuted criticism over having a close door public meeting and claimed that he has not even taken one close door meeting. 

He said that the meetings held in open air or outside are being given permission by the District Election Office.

He was speaking at a workers meet at the open hall of Shantadurga Temple in Shantinagar, Davorlim organised for the campaign of Davorlim BJP Candidate Ulhas Tuenkar. 

The Chief Minister said that he has got the privilege of going around 175 panchayats during the election campaign. 

Talking on the criticism against him for holding public meet, the Chief Minister said, “Some old photographs are being circulated claiming that I have addressed close door public meet. I have not addressed any public meet for many days and all my meeting are only happening in some temple halls or outdoors.”
