PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday. He was accompanied by Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik and newly appointed Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and State BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanavade.
Amidst ongoing Assembly session, Sawant flew to Delhi. He along with leaders Naik and Tanavade also meet BJP National President J P Nadda in the national capital.

Town and Country Planning (TCP) Minister Viswajit Rane had also met the Union Home Minister two days ago in Delhi. These trips of the BJP leaders to Delhi during the ongoing Assembly session have raised many eyebrows. During their meetings, the State leaders is learnt to have discussed about the performance of the government and also political strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
