Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said that he is holding continuous meetings with various departments to further ease Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and improve the overall ease of doing business in Goa.
Speaking about today’s review meeting, the Chief Minister said the discussion focused on the Fire and Emergency Services Department, with the aim of ensuring that Fire No Objection Certificates (NOCs) are issued within a shorter timeframe.
Sawant said special attention is being given to businesses that require short-term Fire NOCs of up to six months, particularly those in the tourism sector, to support seasonal operations and new ventures.
At the same time, the Chief Minister stressed that while timelines are being reduced, proper inspections must be carried out and the prescribed online SOP system must be strictly followed before granting any Fire NOC.
He added that the government is committed to balancing faster clearances with safety and regulatory compliance.
