PANJIM: BJP’s major alliance partners in the government – Goa Forward Party (GFP) and Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) – expressed happiness that things have started to move.
The two parties, who had appeared to be at loggerheads over the appointment of a new CM, said they have no role in appointment of new ministers.
“We have no role to play in selection of new ministers, they dropped their two ministers and appointed two,” GFP president Vijai Sardesai told reporters. He added, “I am happy that things will start to move.”
On the other hand, PWD Minister Ramkrishna (Sudin) Dhavalikar who was billed to become the new CM said that Monday’s development was a result of his discussion with the CM before he left for Delhi. “We (me and CM) had discussed this before he left for Delhi and I am happy things are happening now,” Dhavalikar said.
