MAPUSA: Villagers and members of the Zuva Khazan Tenants Association, Coimavaddo, Aldona on Friday raising concern over illegal filling in Khajan land, made a written memorandum to Dy Collector Bardez and Town and Country planning requesting to take immediate action as the monsoon is approaching.
A delegation of committee members of Zuva Khazan led by Chairman Sandeep Shirodkar called upon Deputy Town planner Prakash Bandodkar.

Villagers informed that this illegal land filling is carried out at Zuvakhazan Uberik, bearing Survey No 50 Sub Div 28 Aldona which is part of large Khazan area belonging to the comunidade of Boa Esperanca, Aldona.
Villagers claimed that if the land filling is not put to stop and if the fields are not restored to its original condition then it will cause undue damage to the nearby fields.
Sandeep Shirodkar said, “Illegal land filling has been done as well as Mango, coconut and other fruit bearing trees are also planted in the field due to which we have approached the Dy town planner asking him to take action”.
Bandodkar has assured to take action in next ten days and if required, Inspection will be done.
