The Colva police have initiated a case concerning an alleged sexual assault against a Baga resident for engaging in sexual intercourse with a woman when she was a minor.
The woman reported that from November 2021 to the present, in Benaulim, the accused, Akash, a 24-year-old resident of Baga, established a friendly relationship with her while she was still a minor.

She further claimed that under the guise of marriage, the accused purportedly forced her into sexual intercourse on multiple occasions, adding that he assaulted and threatened her with severe repercussions when she attempted to resist him.
