The All India Con gress Committee (AICC) on Friday announced a major organisational reshuffle in the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), ap pointing new office bearers and committee heads with immediate effect. According to an official communication issued by AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal, senior Congress leader Girish Chodankar has been appointed as the new President of the Goa Pradesh Congress Commit tee. The AICC has also named three Working Presidents for the GPCC. They are M K Shaikh, Altone D’Costa, and Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira. Datta D. Naik has been appointed as the Treasurer of the state unit.
In its communication, the AICC also appreciat ed the services of outgo ing GPCC President Amit Patkar, acknowledging his contribution to the organi sation. As part of the restruc turing, the Congress party has also approved appoint ments to key committees within the GPCC. Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao has been named Chairperson of the Campaign Committee. South Goa MP Captain Viri ato Fernandes will head the Manifesto Committee, while veteran leader Fran cisco Sardinha has been appointed Chairperson of the Coordination Commit tee. Sunil Kawthankar will serve as Co-Chairperson of the Coordination Commit tee.
