Cong panel to meet on July 2

PANJIM: A high-powered Congress panel led by party veteran and former Union Defence Minister A K Antony would take stock of factors leading to the party's crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in Goa at a meeting scheduled on July 2.

PANJIM: A high-powered Congress panel led by party veteran and former Union Defence Minister A K Antony would take stock of factors leading to the party’s crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in Goa at a meeting scheduled on July 2. 
The meeting would be attended by GPCC President John Fernandes, Congress Legislative Party leader Pratapsing Rane, Lok Sabha candidates Ravi Naik and Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco and other invited members of frontal organizations. 
The informal group set up by Congress President Sonia Gandhi also has All India Congress Committee General Secretary Mukul Wasnik and secretaries RC Khuntia and Avinash Pandey as its members. The panel would submit its report based on the review exercise before the upcoming Union Budget session. Meanwhile, Congress has scheduled its first agitation against the BJP-led government, by taking out a morcha to the State Assembly on July 22.
