PANJIM: The Congress has hinted that it could give a tough time to Union Minister for Environment Prakash Javdekar, also Minister for Information & Broadcasting during the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) this month.
“The Goans will not hesitate to declare ‘No Entry’ to the traitor Union Ministers for attempting to snatch our lifeline. Javdekar should keep in mind that he also holds the Information and Broadcasting portfolio and act wisely while meeting the all party delegation from Goa,” Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar said ahead of the meeting with the Union minister on Mhadei issue.
“I hope the biased union minister who in the past had toed the lines of Karnataka on the issue of Mhadei will realise that he will have to shortly face the Goan’s during the forthcoming IFFI,” he said.
He also demanded that the government and BJP should permanently put to rest the issue of diverting water from Mhadei River to any other basin, failing which the he warned the government will have to face people’s fury.
