PANJIM: Following the recent bombings and attacks on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, SP (ATS) Pankaj Kumar Singh held a security briefing and liaison meeting with representatives of hotels, casinos, malls and other such public spaces.
SP (North) Chandan Choudhary and SP (South) Arvind Gawas were present for the meeting which was attended by representatives of 52 establishments including hotels, casinos, malls, multiplexes, night clubs and private security supervisors.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Singh said, “We reviewed their security setups and requested them to enhance their security measures at their installations. We guided them about the measures to be taken. We hope that in the immediate future we will have an enhanced security setup at all these installations.”
Stating that the ATS quick response teams have been positioned at strategic points, for better security preparedness he said, “We have already had a security audit of the existing setups, however, we are now planning to enhance the security preparedness and the levels at all these spaces and installations.”
