MARGAO, NOV 23
The Crime branch on Tuesday has opposed granting permission for former Minister Mickky Pacheco to travel abroad and as well as released of the CPUs attached by the investigating agency in connection with the Nadia Torrado death case.
Mickky’s application will come up for arguments in the sessions court on November 25.
In its reply to Pacheco’s application, the Crime branch said the former Minister may tamper with evidence if the CPUs and other articles are released to him. The investigating agency has said most of the seized items are sent to the central forensic laboratory and the report is awaited.
The investigating agency has further submitted in the court that it will furnish details of the items seized from the former Minister and subsequently released during investigations of the case.
