PANJIM: Superintendent of Police North Utkrisht Prasoon has warned to take action against the police personnel who are found switching off their mobile phones when off duty.
In a note issued to all police stations and SDPOs in North District, Prasoon said he has observed that most of the police personnel who are on off duty switch off their mobile phones and are not contactable during any exigencies.

“Strict deemed fit action will be initiated against anyone found switching off his or her phone when on off duty and been not contactable,” Prasoon said.
The directions are issued to all the police inspectors and SDPOS in North, to brief their staff on the matter.
