PANJIM: A five-litre gas explosion in a rented room at Sodiem-Siolim left a couple seriously injured on Monday at around 8 pm.

The injured couple was taken to District Hospital Mapusa and later shifted to the Goa Medical College for severe burn injuries. Police suspect that gas leak which may have caused the cylinder to catch fire and explode.
