It’s not uncommon to hear Avertanbab often asking his constituents to exercise patience and wait for the development to flow in to Navelim. His Velim counterpart Benjaminbab seems to have followed suit, with major development activities conspicuous by their absence in the constituency over the last one year. One can understand the predicament of the two MLAs who rode to power on the strong anti-Congress wave. They are aware that their detractors in the Congress camp are working overtime to spread reports over the absence of development in their constituencies. But, the duo is also equally aware that developmental projects have not flowed with ease since their election a year ago. Both Avertanbbab and Benjaminbab enjoy close rapport with each other. They often invite each other as guests in their respective constituencies. Coincidentally, the duo also enjoy excellent ties with Manoharbhai, who does not miss out to call or have lunch with them when he is Xaxtidom. And, they would certainly hope that Manoharbhai would bail them out of the situation by sanctioning a slew of projects to keep the constituents in good humour. For, patience has its own limit. Avertanbab, Benjaminbab and even Manoharbhai know this better than anyone else.
