QUEPEM: The bail petitions of Central Bank Curchorem Branch Manager Anand Jadhav and Tanvi Vast were rejected by the JMFC Quepem on Saturday. While Jadhav’s 14 day remand will continue, Vast has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody at Colvale jail.
Tanvi Vast will be rearrested later and brought to Curchorem police custody in another case.

On Wednesday 27 November 2024, Constancio Fernandes a 67 year old, resident of Sanguem who is partially paralysed has filed a complaint with the Curchorem Police that he was cheated to the tune of Rs 15.5 lakh when Tanvi offered to do a fixed deposit in his name but instead did it in her name and then cancelled out her name and wrote his name on the certificate in her own handwriting.
Earlier Sushma Asthana from Quepem had complained to the police against Tanvi and Jadhav that they had transferred Rs 20 lakh from her savings account under the pretext of making Fixed Deposit investment. Rosalina Correia and Anthony Dias of Cacora-Curchorem and Cristalina Coutinho of Curchorem are the other complainants.
