The TCP, sources said, is also contemplating seeking a report from the PWD whether they intend to go ahead with the acquisition of land for the widening of the road leading to the project site.
Sources, however, said the TCP has not received any directions or note from the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to withdraw the permission granted to the hotel project for want of an eight-meter road on the site. It may be recalled that after Herald had highlighted the discrepancies in the approval granted to the hotel project, the Chief Minister had said that the government would withdraw the development permissions issued to the controversial project. In the meantime, the Curtorim village panchayat has said that any further decision on the hotel project will depend on the withdrawal of the permissions by the government.
