Dane held with fake passport

Vasco Police on Sunday arrested a 27-year-old Danish national at Dabolim airport on charges of carrying fake passport.
Immigration Police at Dabolim airport detained Jorgruiz Goldd for allegedly possessing a fake passport while boarding a flight to London. Goldd was later handed over to Vasco Police for further investigation.
Speaking to Herald, Immigration Police Inspector Rajendra Prabhudesai said during verification at the departure deposit counter, Immigration Police ascertained difference in the name imprinted on the passport and visa. The accused was to board a charter flight ‘Thomson’ scheduled to leave for London on Sunday morning.
He said that the case appears to be impersonation, as details in passport and visa differs. He further informed that the accused had arrived in Goa on February 6, 2011.
“We are verifying other details of the accused and the accused has been handed over to Vasco Police for further investigation,” added PI Prabhudesai.
Vasco Police arrested the accused under Sections 419, 468 and 471 of IPC.
and is investigating the case.
