Intelligence agencies have issued a security alert for Delhi and Uttarakhand after receiving an alleged threat indicating that Khalistani terrorists could target key locations in the coming days. According to ANI, the alert was issued based on inputs from intelligence sources and has prompted authorities to strengthen security across both regions.
The report stated that temples in Delhi and Uttarakhand are among the potential targets mentioned in the alleged threat. Government offices, railway stations and police establishments have also been identified as locations that may be at risk.

Sources told ANI that the warning originated from an email containing references to several temples, government establishments and political leaders as possible targets. Following the alert, the Delhi Police, Uttarakhand Police and intelligence agencies have intensified surveillance and reviewed security arrangements at sensitive locations as a precautionary measure.
Delhi Police has also launched an investigation into the email to verify its authenticity and trace its origin. Officials are examining the contents of the message while maintaining heightened vigilance across key public and religious places.
This is not the first such security alert issued this year. In January, intelligence agencies warned of possible attempts by banned Khalistani organisations and Bangladesh-based terror groups to target New Delhi and other cities around Republic Day celebrations.
A similar alert was issued in February following intelligence inputs about a possible terror threat near the Red Fort. According to ANI, intelligence sources had warned that terrorists could target a temple in the Chandni Chowk area. The report also stated that important religious sites around the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk remained under watch due to intelligence inputs suggesting they were on the radar of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Authorities continue to monitor the latest threat while maintaining enhanced security measures.
