BICHOLIM: A suspected case of dengue was reported in Bicholim last week. Bicholim community health service authorities stated that they have received the information about the dengue case on Wednesday.
According to health officials, a school girl from Mulgao in Bicholim was suspected to be suffering from dengue.
Bicholim community health centre (CHC) health officer Dr Medha Salkar informed that they received information from Goa Medical College and hospital about this suspected dengue case as she was from Bicholim area.
“On receiving the information, the health workers attached to Bicholim CHC visited the Mulgao area and checked the people living in the house and surrounding areas but found that there was no dengue fever to anybody,” she said.
“The CHC is going to undertake cleaning, fogging and spraying activities in the said school premises and surrounding areas so also in Mulgao and other areas of Bicholim as a precautionary measure,” she added.
