PONDA: Residents of Mardol have been grappling with a severe water shortage for the past month, causing distress among the community, particularly housewives who are struggling with the lack of continuous water supply. The irregular water supply in the Mardol-Simepain area has left many residents wandering in search of water, despite the ongoing monsoon rains outside.

This issue is not new for the villagers. Prior to July, the water supply was already inconsistent, prompting locals to voice their concerns to their MLA and Art and Culture Minister, Govind Gaude. Minister Gaude intervened at the time, ordering the department concerned to restore a stable water supply, which provided temporary relief for about two weeks.
However, the problem has resurfaced, with the water supply once again becoming irregular. Last Sunday, there was no water supply for the entire day. Even when water is available, it lacks the necessary pressure to reach the upper floors of houses, complain locals.
Frustrated by the recurring problem, residents of Mardol are now urgently calling on the authorities to address the situation and ensure a consistent and adequate water supply.
