DGP takes stock of cash-for-jobs cases registered in South Goa

MARGAO: Goa’s Director General of Police (DGP) Alok Kumar visited the police headquarters in Margao on Wednesday to review the progress of job scam investigations in South Goa. During the meeting, he discussed the status of cases registered in police stations across the district, including Ponda, Mardol, Vasco, and Canacona, where job scam cases have recently surfaced.

Superintendent of Police (SP) for South Goa, Sunita Sawant, accompanied DGP Kumar at the meeting, along with the respective Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) from Margao, Canacona, Vasco, and Ponda. DGP Kumar directed officers to conduct thorough investigations and take necessary steps in each case.

Speaking briefly to the media, DGP Kumar shared that he requested updates on FIRs filed in these cases.

SP Sawant described the DGP’s visit as routine, noting that he reviewed several job scam cases that have been registered in South Goa.
