PORVORIM: Housing Minister Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar on Friday produced documents clearing the doubts that his son had not purchased a plot in the Goa Housing Board colony and that it was acquired from a private builder, whose property is adjacent to the housing board property at Panzorconi-Cuncolim.
Referring to Thursday’s heated discussion during a calling attention notice in the Legislative Assembly, Dhavalikar produced a blue-print of developed plots and told the House that his son had purchased plots which are situated adjacent to the housing board property.
He said that confusion arose because of the same survey number but the property was different with one owned by a private builder. “My son is not involved. He purchased a plot from a builder whose plan was passed when Vijai Sardesai was TCP Minister. He (Vijai) should have checked, verified and made a statement,” Dhavalikar said.
However, Sardesai clarified that he raised objections due to the same survey numbers and that he had apprehensions since the calling attention notice was postponed twice during the ongoing session. “So I was curious to know details or can there be ‘match fixing’,” said Sardesai.
