Pramod Sawant has strongly criticised attempts to disrupt India’s global AI summit, calling such actions “pure political recklessness” rather than democratic expression.
Reacting to developments surrounding the high-profile international event, the Chief Minister said that when India is hosting a global artificial intelligence summit to showcase its technological capabilities and growing confidence on the world stage, turning it into a platform for disruption undermines national interests.
He stated that such theatrics tarnish India’s global image, distract from the achievements of the country’s scientists, startups and youth, and weaken its credibility before the international community.
Sawant emphasised that while the Opposition has every right to raise issues and express dissent in a democracy, it should not come at the cost of the nation’s dignity.
“India deserves mature politics, responsible leadership and respect for national forums,” he asserted, underlining the importance of unity and decorum during events of global significance.
