PANJIM: The Directorate of Education is likely to issue the takover notice to the management of Chowgule Higher Secondary school on Wednesday, Deputy Director of Education Anil Powar said.
Speaking to Herald, Powar said that they have to draft the notice with the help of legal experts and only then issue it. “It has not been sent. It has to be drafted and then vetted by legal experts and only then we can send it. We are likely to send it tomorrow,” Powar said.
If the reply is not satisfactory or if there is no reply within a week, the education department can appoint an administrator to run the school. As per the the Goa Education Act, the administrator can under several provisions of the Act take action against the management.
