PANJIM: Goa Governor Dr Mridula Sinha will officially retire from her gubernatorial responsibility on November 3. State Government on Wednesday hoisted farewell dinner for the Governor.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik will take charge of Goa from coming Friday.
State Government on Wednesday hosted farewell dinner for the Governor. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Deputy Chief Ministers Chandrakant Kavlekar and Manohar Ajgaonkar, cabinet ministers, ruling MLAs, Chief Secretary and others attended the dinner.
She was appointed as one of the Ambassadors of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The new governor will be sworn in on November 3.
