PANJIM: The contract workers of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA) have not been paid for two months ~ November and December, and the matter is pending with the Directorate, V M Prabhudessai has admitted.
Countering an earlier report that the daily wage employees have not been paid for four month, Prabhudessai said that wages of September and October have already been paid but admitted that that of November have been processed recently.
“On actual verification of the office records, it is revealed that the daily wage staff has already received their salary for September and October 2013. The bills for payment of wages for November 2013 have been forwarded to the Directorate of Accounts for clearance.
