8 persons including Mahammadramij
M Gamchi alias Roy Fernandes, and Santosh Kadam are among those arrested for operating
a fake call centre. The cell was busted by Cyber Crime Cell on the intervening
night of June 9-10.
The two masterminds impersonated Amazon operatives and
defrauded several US citizens to share confidential gift card details of values
ranging from 500 to 1000 US Dollars in exchange of restoring wallet balances
from their allegedly hacked Amazon accounts
