MARGAO: A 69-year-old British national, Jane Ann Dumbavin, was found dead at Grace Emerald Plaza, Benaulim. It was revealed that she had a history of heart issues and was under medication.
Colva police received a report from the District Hospital Margao, where she was declared dead upon arrival. Jane and her husband, Philip Richard Dumbavin, had arrived in Goa on November 4. On Sunday, November 24, she began experiencing chest pain and breathlessness. No foul play is suspected in the death.
Incidentally, the Colva police had registered an offence against Joaquim Piedade Joyfrey Rodrigues and LaviniaFilomena Gomindes, both residents of Acsona Pattem, Benaulim, for failing to submit the online tenant verification Form C for the Dumbavin couple living as tenants in their apartment.
The offence was registered under section 16 of the Foreigners (Amendment) Order 2016 and section 14 (C) of the Foreigners Act 1946, follows a complaint from Anil T Krishna, Police Sub Inspector at Colva Police Station.
It is alleged that from November 4 to November 24, Rodrigues, as the owner of flat No. B/F/3 at Grace Emerald Plaza, and Gomindes, holding power of attorney, accommodated Jane Ann Dumbavin, a British national, without submitting the required documentation to the FRRO in Panjim.
