A mushroom cultivation training session was organized at Kasarvarne by the Agriculture Department of Sharda Higher Secondary School, which is run by the Wade Nagar Shikshan Sanstha. A total of 43 people—including local farmers, women, self-help group members, and youths—participated enthusiastically in the training.
The training provided detailed guidance on the environmental conditions required for mushroom cultivation, seed selection, bed preparation methods, production management, disease and pest control, as well as mushroom sales and value addition. Participants clarified their doubts and gained insights into the business of mushroom farming. Additionally, instructors Mr. Shamba Marathe, Mr. Laxman Parab, and Mrs. Supriya Khot explained the mushroom production process through hands-on demonstrations. The trainees appreciated the guidance and expressed a desire for such initiatives to be organized regularly.

School Principal Mr. Gajanan Marathe expressed confidence that this initiative would help create new self-employment opportunities for farmers and the youth.
