PORVORIM: Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho assured to complete the work on the long pending bus terminus in Mapusa via the PPP model, within three years.
Replying to a starred question tabled by Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza, Godinho assured to lay the foundation stone on the birthday of former Dy CM Minister (late) Francis D’Souza, which falls on October 4. Joshua sought the immediate completion of the new bus stand, which will not only cater to the passengers of Bardez taluka but entire North District.
The Rs 210-crore project, Godinho added, will be built in such a way that it will generate electricity while excess power supply will be connected to the electrical grid. He also asserted that a fresh presentation will be held for Joshua as well as Aldona MLA Glen Ticlo. “The solar roof of the proposed project will generate its own electricity, and the excess can be connected to the grid. We will not burden the electricity department,” he added.
