Following Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s assurance of strict action against the use of tinted glass, the Fatorda Traffic Cell on Saturday launched a special enforcement drive targeting vehicles fitted with tinted windows.
During the operation, several vehicles were stopped and checked, and action was initiated against violators in accordance with traffic rules. Officials said the drive is aimed at ensuring road safety and preventing misuse of tinted glass, which is banned under Supreme Court guidelines.
Traffic police said similar special drives will continue in the coming days across the region to ensure strict compliance with the law and to create awareness among motorists.
The initiative comes after the Chief Minister reiterated in the Assembly that the government will not tolerate violations and will take firm action to enforce traffic regulations across Goa.
