The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) is ready to move ahead with the proposed cricket stadiums at Dhargal and Maulinguem, with the association having secured the required permissions, funds and other preparations.
GCA president Mahesh Dessai said the ball is now in the government’s court, with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant assuring that the necessary work and foundation stone for the projects would be completed by December.

Dessai said the GCA has made the necessary arrangements and is awaiting further action from the government to take the projects forward.
He also said the association is willing to take over the maintenance of Fatorda Stadium if the government offers it the responsibility, adding that the GCA is prepared to manage the facility.
