GFA suspends 14 over alleged match-fixing

The Goa Football Association (GFA) has suspended 14 individuals, including 13 players and one official, over alleged involvement in match-fixing. The suspended official has been identified as former police staff member Muzin Shaikh. The action follows a 250-page integrity report prepared after an investigation. The GFA said the individuals violated Clause 22.3 by failing to report approaches to authorities. The report and supporting evidence will be submitted to the Crime Branch for further investigation. The association has also sought lifelong bans against those found responsible.
