MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party on Saturday criticised the government’s move to possibly start a private capitation college in South Goa District Hospital and has termed it a racket. GFP General Secretary Mohandas Lolienkar said, “A capitation college is a reservation for the rich and we oppose the same. We had started and succeeded in our agitation to oppose the capitation college in Goa 40 years ago. Now, I think we will have to start another agitation against the government’s plan to start the capitation college”.
The GFP alleged that the college may be a plan of the BJP to allow someone to take over the hospital and fund the municipal election in favour of the saffron party.
