PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Girish Chodankar on Thursday said that he will not be intimidated by the legal notice allegedly served by the victim of a sexual exploitation case involving a Cabinet Minister.
Speaking to reporters at the Congress House, Panjim, Chodankar said that legal notice has been issued served by a Mumbai-based law firm on behalf of the victim only to pressurise him and refrain him from going public with audio visual evidence in the alleged sex scandal. The legal notice is also a proof that sex scandal has happened and that he is neither going to reply to the legal notice nor get intimidated with it.
Chodankar reiterated that he will reveal the name of the involved Minister with proof after the end of 15 days time given by him to the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to sack the involved Minister.
The Congress president further demanded that the Chief Minister should resign if he is unable to sack the Minister involved in the sex scandal. He said that if the involved Minister is sacked from the Cabinet then many victims will come forward to file complaints against him.
Chodankar also questioned know how the victim can engage professional law firm when she claims to be poor.
Ridiculing the Chief Minister’s statement that he will sack `anyone’ if he gets a complaint regarding the sex scandal, Chodankar challenged Sawant to deny that there is no Whatsapp chat between the involved Minister and the victim regarding sex scandal.
