Water supply will be restricted in the talukas of Sanguem, Quepem, Salcete and Mormugao on January 7 and 8 from 9 am to 7 pm due to a scheduled maintenance shutdown at the 160 MLD Salaulim Water Treatment Plant at Xelpem, Sanguem.
Authorities confirmed that the 100 MLD water treatment plant will continue to operate during this period, helping to partially meet demand. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store sufficient water and use it judiciously until normal supply is restored.
