Proceedings in the Goa Legislative Assembly were adjourned for 30 minutes on Day 7 of the ongoing session after Opposition members rushed to the well of the House in protest.
The protest was triggered after Opposition MLAs objected to not being allowed to table their private members’ bills during last Friday’s sitting. The members raised slogans and demanded that they be given an opportunity to present their bills in the House.
The disruption forced the Speaker to temporarily adjourn the proceedings for half an hour in an attempt to restore order in the Assembly. Further discussions on the matter are expected once the House reconvenes.
