Goa CM Inaugurates ₹6.42 Crore Renovated IPA Provedoria Old Age Home in Margao

The Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has completed major renovation and repair works at the Institute of Public Assistance (IPA) Provedoria old age home in Margao at a cost of ₹6.42 crore, enhancing the facility’s infrastructure and living conditions for senior citizens.

The renovated building was inaugurated on Thursday by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant in the presence of IPA Minister Subhash Shirodkar, PWD Minister Digambar Kamat, GSIDC Chairman Michael Lobo, and other senior government officials.

The project was executed by GSIDC, with FP Project Management Ltd. serving as the project consultant and Trupti Constructions undertaking the construction work.

According to officials, the renovation was carried out to modernise the old age home and provide improved amenities, safer infrastructure, and a more comfortable living environment for elderly residents.

The upgraded facility is expected to significantly enhance the quality of care and overall well-being of senior citizens residing at the institution, reflecting the government’s focus on strengthening social welfare infrastructure in the state.
