PONDA: The Goa Dairy has filed a chargesheet against its recently suspended Managing Director Radhika Kale, levelling various charges of financial mismanagement during her tenure while also holding a charge as an accountant.

She has been asked to file an explanation in 10 days time.
It may be recalled that a few months ago, Radhika was suspended for mismanagement by Goa Dairy pending inquiry against her. She has been asked to clarify on some of the financial mismanagement taken place in Goa Dairy when she was holding various official posts.
The Dairy alleged that during her tenure she failed to verify and ascertain true financial position and trust worthiness enjoyed by Punjab Maharashtra Cooperative Bank before advising the Goa Dairy Board to transfer and deposit the fund received under the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to the tune of Rs 7 crore.
“As Manager (Finance) and also holding the charge of Managing Director she failed to deduct Income Tax towards the salary paid to Dr N C Sawant, the then managing director of Goa Dairy. She misused the post of Manager (Finance) to avail house building loan for her and sanctioned Rs 28.80 lakh loan when she was not eligible for the same,” the Dairy charged.
The Goa Dairy further mentioned that Radhika did not record minutes of the board meeting dated August 8, 2019 while holding the post of Managing Director (in charge).
“She failed to utilise the fund received under government schemes such as Intensive Dairy Development Project, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna and National Programme for Dairy Development etc for the purpose specified there in and further misappropriated and misused for other purposes without the approval from the Board of Directors,” the chargesheet stated.
