Addressing the media, Goa Forward Spokesman Durgadas Kamat said, “It is murder of democracy in this State. The questions put forward by our mentor MLAs on mining, casinos and beach cleaning and other important questions have gone missing online.”
Goa Forward General Secretary Mohandas Lolienkar said, “We have worn black and this signifies that murder of democracy has been done in Goa. BJP spoke about illegal mining but what has it done to get the money back? When BJP was in opposition they opposed casinos, now they are the ones who brought the fifth casino in Goa.”
Lolienkar stated that this government has fooled the people over acche din and said the protest is token but that Goa Forward will take the agitation across Goa and if required march to the Chief Minister’s residence.
The workers also went around the bus stand raising slogans holding a casket, which they said represented the ‘murder of democracy’.
