Goa Govt Approves Special Medical Leave Policy Granting Up to 365 Days Paid Leave for Ailing Teachers

In a significant welfare measure, the Goa government has approved a Special Medical Leave policy granting up to 365 days of fully paid leave to regular teachers suffering from terminal illnesses.

The order, issued by the Directorate of Education, states that eligible teachers will be entitled to special medical leave without any loss of service benefits. Their seniority, continuity of service, and pensionary benefits will remain unaffected during the period of leave.
